Drummer and singer Tom Hambridge is well known for his work as a musician, but also as a remarkable songwriter and producer. He has written more than 1.000 songs and produced the impressive amount of 100 albums, as well as working with countless artists from Bo Diddley to Buddy Guy. He has won four Grammy Awards, three of them as producer of Buddy Guy’s latest albums and the fourth one as producer, songwriter and drummer with Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. So, we are facing a musician with an unquestionable talent who is also requested by many artists.

Although he is always very busy, Tom finds time to make an album for himself. Now he presents a new recording, the second one for Quarto Valley Records. The album gathers twelve of his own compositions that combine the past, the present and the future of blues where Hambridge, besides playing drums and singing, has done all the songwriting, the arrangements and production.

Some songs like “Every Time I Sing The Blues” (a song that was performed by Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy), “Willie Dixon’s Gone” (performed in his days by George Thorogood) or “Believe These Blues” are compositions he wrote for other artists, that now get in Tom’s hands a new very personal air. The rest are a compendium of colorful and varied blues that show Tom’s musical influences as well as the feelings of despair, sadness, truthfulness and passion he goes through when he sings those deep blues that come from the bottom of his heart.

Hambridge has surrounded himself with a cast of great musicians like, for example, Rob McNelley (Bob Seger), Tom Bukovac (Joe Walsh), Bob Britt (Bob Dylan), Buddy Guy, Glen Worf (Mark Knopfler), Tommy MacDonald (Johnny Winter) or Kevin Mc Kendree among others. All of them contribute to round up a magnificent album with a bright high-quality level.
