Markus K is a Dutch singer and guitar player who fell in love with blues when he was a young man At his twenties he moved to England and he established there In 2002 he decided to form a trio and he named it Giles which allowed him to give free rein to his passion for the music he loved Different musicians have been in the group and now they are his son Markus Piet Koehorst on bass and backing vocals and Terry Saughnessy on drums Under the name of Giles the trio has recorded four albums of eclectic and daring blues, where Markus has been able to explore and develop different facets and sounds that cross the borders of what we know as blues Markus music is difficult to define but if it should be described on a few words I would say it is avant-garde blues with funk and pop influences plus a touch of industrial music In this album Markus gathers a selection of songs that faithfully reflect all what has been said about the music of this researcher who really loves to experiment with music known as Markus K
