Sax player and singer Eric Demmer appeared in the musical world during the early eighties as ‘road manager and sound engineer, participating actively in Clint Black’s tours. After those tours, he decided to totally devote himself to play sax. In 1993 Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown called him to join his band, where he remained until Clarence’s death in 2005. This enabled him to play with such great stars like Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers Band, Johnny Copeland, B.B. King, Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John or Buddy Guy among others. Also, in 2018, he became member in Mike Zito’s group.

After having performed and collaborated with so many leading musicians, Eric Demmer felt the aim and the motivation to record a solo album, which has been released by Gulf Coast Records and produced by Mike Zito and himself, where he could communicate some of his experiences. The album includes twelve songs, some of them well known to blues lovers, like the excellent version of “Have You Ever Loved A Woman” coming from Freddie King. The rest of the songs successfully and tastefully combine blues, rock, soul and Americana music. In all them, the voice and sax of Eric Demmer shine at a remarkable quality level, backed by a large group of brilliant instrumentalists, with the valuable collaborations of Mike Zito, Jonn Del Toro Richardson, Mark May or The Grooveline Horns.
