Alex Lopez is a guitar player, singer and songwriter who belongs to the new generation of musicians which take the blues as a landmark. In recent times he has gained notoriety for his electrifying live shows that are revitalizing the blues scene, focusing his music to the new generation of blues listeners. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Alex Lopez started playing keyboards, but he was soon attracted by great British blues guitar players, so his influences come from guitarists like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck or Jimi Hendrix. In Florida, where he travelled to finish his studies and he finally settled there, he was able to work as a musician, which led him to found his own band, The Xpress, playing regularly with them and now releasing his fifth album. Eleven own compositions that move among modern blues, rock or soul, without forgetting some drops of jazz or funk, give shape to this new recording. Together with Alex Lopez on guitar and vocals, you will also find Kenny Hoye on keyboards, Steve Roberts on bass and Kana Leimbach on drums. This album is a good example of how to combine different styles with good taste and elegance to, in this way, give them a completely actual contemporary sound.
