Born on a small farm in Romulus, Michigan, singer Zoom discovered the blues at the young age of three. At the end of the seventies she was lucky to see Koko Taylor performing live and that show completely changed her life and her future. From that particular moment Zoom totally devoted herself to the music which made her to share stage with such great blues artists like Bobby “Blue” Bland, Albert King, James Cotton, Junior Wells, John Primer, Lucky Peterson, Billy Branch, Maurice John Vaughn or the just mentioned Koko Taylor although, for two decades, she retired from music to raise and take care of her family.

Finally the call of music has made her come back to the stages with more strength and dedication than ever. To do so she got in touch with her old friend Shawn Kellerman who has built up a successful career working with Lucky Peterson.

Zoom and Shawn now present this album that includes eleven songs written by both musicians, where Zoom’s powerful vocal skills powerfully stand out together with Shawn Kellerman’s energetic work on guitar and bass. The result is a blues album where you will be able to savor funky blues as well as the most genuine blues displayed on a rocky, aggressive, intense and exciting way. They are surrounded by Jim Boudreau on drums, plus a series of guest musicians who bring their good knowledge to this more than interesting recording.
