Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Zac Harmon soon discovered and showed his passion for music and, especially, for the blues In his student days Zac already played guitar for Dorothy Moore, ZZ Hill and Sam Myers, before Sam was recruitet in Anson Funderburgh’s band At the beginning of the 80’s he moved to Los Angeles and began to work as studio musician, producer and composer, writing songs for O’Jays, Whispers, Alexander O’Neal and some others Since then on, Zac Harmon has enjoyed a long extensive career along all blues professional areas In 2004 he also won a Blues Foundation Award as best new band, at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) This new album includes eleven songs that follow his usual line, that is to say, a little bit of soul, disco, gospel or northern soul ballads especially focused in organ, keyboards and guitar arrangements, together with careful really exquisite vocal harmonies Every song included has been deeply elaborated and produced with very good taste and care
