From Norway come these two cds of a band which has its musical roots in blues, pop and rock and roll They manage to give us a cool fragrance and a really impressive energy They beautiful original sound and the actual solid good structured way they perform, make Yngve & His Boogie Legs become one of the most innovative northern Europe bands of alternative rock, although they always include a touch of daring postmodern blues The group was founded in 2009 in a trio format, but now they are five musicians, founder and band leader Ingve Jordalen on bass and vocals, together with Bjornar Ekse Brandseth on guitar and lead vocals, Lars Finhorud on guitar, harmonica and vocals, Morten Bressesen on piano, organ and vocals and Anders Fretheim on drums and vocals Last year they performed at Notodden Blues Festival, one of the most important festivals in the north of Europe, and were also selected to represent Norway at the International Blues Challenge that every year organizes the Blues Foundation in Memphis They also contended representing Norway at the European Blues Challenge in Toulouse, France, organized by the European Blues Union (EBU) We are facing two good albums, with a powerful thrilling sound and a very sophisticated actual display, where everything has been built up over some primary overwhelming musical patterns, on the basis of juicy well-written songs, presented with a clever good taste This is a contemporary really original alternative rock/pop/blues band that will surprise more than one
