Intense, wrapping and fascination is this new album coming from singer Willie Buck, Delmark Records has recently rescued from their files for the complete satisfaction of the most genuine Chicago blues fans All songs included in The Life I Love were recorded on two different dates The first twelve ones belong to the LP I Wanna Be Loved that was originally published by Bar-Bare Records, and were recorded in October 1982, the remaining five were recorded live two years later, in 1984 The musicians who participated in both sessions were Willie Buck vocals, Louis Myers on guitar, John Primer on guitar, Dave Myers on bass, Little McSimmons and Dimestore Fred on harmonica, Johnny ‘Big Moose’ Walker on piano and Jerry Orter and Jodie North on drums As you can easily imagine the album is a true south-side blues party, besides an excellent way to meet again or discover Willie Buck, a true traditional singer, backed by the ‘creme’ of those days Chicago blues musicians
