Here comes an amazing piano player and great singer with an outstanding vocal ability William Warfield recorded this small collection of sixteen blues and gospel tunes when he already was 79 years old That happened in October 19th 2000 and February 24th 2001 and, despite his respectable age, William shows himself with an enviable and vitalistic energy His baritone voice prevails with an unbelievable overwhelming strenght and his personal sensibility shines at a very high level So here comes a complete selection that skilfully combines gospel, blues and New Orleans jazz just as was played in 1900 In short word, an unforgettable record where William Warfield is really inspired with the backing support of a very professional band who communicate the real swing of the old New Orleans bands Drums, double bass, guitar, banjo, trombone, trumplet and clarinet perfectly back vocals and piano playing of this splendid musician called William Warfield
