Gramofono Sound label announces the international reissue of the album “Tick Tock Tick” by renowned soul and rhythm and blues singer Will Porter. This album was released in 2016 with a very limited edition in the United States, as Porter signed a contract with Ace Records in UK, which only distributed it in Europe, Japan and Australia but not in the United States. Fortunately Gramofono Sound label puts things straight with the reissue of this magnificent recording. For years Porter was the musical director of Motown singer Mary Wells, and he also worked with Percy Sledge, Barbara Lewis, The Shirelles or Billy Preston. This is why he has now got an undeniable recognition. For the album he has counted with such outstanding artists like Dr. John, Bettye LaVette, Wardell Quezergue, Jimmy Haslip (Yellow Jackets), The Womack Brothers, Mick Gillette, Johnnie Bamont, Leo Nocentelli (The Meters) or The Louisiana Philharmonic Strings, who form a faultless renowned team of musicians with an impressive musical and artistic level. Compared often with Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland or Lou Rawls, Will Porter fully identifies himself with both singers, but he always gives a personal, distinctive and admirable stamp to his vocal range skills, that makes him become a unique incomparable singer in the style he usually performs. The eleven album songs allow us to totally appreciate and savor the good work, quality and excellent vocal delivery of this superb artist who finally will receive the recognition he deserves, not only by specialized media but also by all listeners who look for good music.
