Will Jacobs is an American musician settled in Berlin, Germany Although he is only aged twenty-six, he has got an amazing knowledge of blues, as well as an special voice that, sometimes, might seem he is a black Mississippi or Chicago bluesman On the other side Marcos Coll is a Spanish harmonica player coming from Galicia, with an accurate and excellent technique The collaboration between these two musicians has given as a result a fruitful musical relationship, devoted to passionately recreate the most genuine blues, but at the same time adding a very contemporary touch and a good dose of soul and funk They have recently published this recording with seven own compositions plus two versions of the songs It Ain’t Safe coming from Clarence Carter and Stranded by Deadric Malone This cd allows us to discover and appreciate the versatility, cleverness, knowledge and the perfect understanding and chemistry between them, when they work together for the benefit of music and specifically blues Will Jacobs is on vocals, guitars, bass and drums while Marcos Coll blows the harmonica, in a perfect mixture that could be defined as totally accurate and attractive, which makes this album become a highly recommended one
