Probably Wentus Blues Band is one of the most popular, well-known and legendary Scandinavian groups. It comes from Kokkola in the heart of Finland and displays an intense robust blues with some doses of roadhouse rock that will easily impact in most listeners.

With more than thirty-five years of career, Wentus Blues Band has got a good reputation, as well as becoming the benchmark for other Scandinavian blues bands, performing more than one hundred and fifty shows per year, which guarantee their reliability. Their curriculum is really impressing, they have toured in more than seventeen countries, recorded more than ten albums, they have headlined various blues festivals and appear regularly on television, in addition of being always involved in new projects.

This album follows the steps of his previous ones, always moving along the patterns of traditional blues on a varied genuine repertoire, performed with enormous honesty. Twelve songs ranging from contemporary blues compositions coming from artists like Duke Robillard, who also collaborates in the album, Gary Primich or Mick Taylor to classic blues songs by Elmore James, Eddie Kirkland or Jay Miller and even some own compositions by band members like singer Juho Kinaret who has written the song “A Little More Time”, guitar player Niko Riippa who contributes with the song “Trainfare” or bass player Robban Hagnäs who presents the song “Last Chance To Dance”. The other band members include drummer Daniel Hjerppe and keyboard player Pekka Gröhn.

This is a fantastic album with the best blues you can listen to, not only in Finland but at an European level.
