Cheerful and dynamic pianist Wendy DeWitt, who also sings, met one night drummer Kirk Harwood, a veteran member in the band of harmonica player and singer Norton Buffalo After playing some songs together they shared the same feeling, they should form a duo as a way to express their similar tastes and sensibility for music After some years of that casual meeting, now they have recorded this album backed by a handful of good musicians such as Steve Freund on guitar, Steve Evans on bass, Mike Rinta on trombone, Keith Crossand on tenor sax and Tom Poole on trumpet All together bring us a happy dynamic album with a good dose of joy they want to communicate to all listeners Eight of the eleven songs included in the recording are Wendy’s own compositions, while Folks Like You belongs to Chicago blues guitar player Steve Freund All tracks tell us about life ups and downs, personal growth, the way to overcome the difficulties of the critical moments of daily life, but Wendy also tells us about the joy and happiness music communicates when it comes from the heart and soul, as it happens in this particular case
