This album was recorded in 2013 and gathers twelve cuts that follow the usual path Walter Trout gives us, which is nothing than high-voltage rock-blues, performed with an amazing energy and strength Ten of the songs included in The Blues Came Callin’ have been written by Walter himself, another one is a John Mayall’s own song he especially write for the cd, and the last one is a version of a J B Lenoir’s song where Walter Trout puts his own stamp with his electrifying guitar phrasing his fans so well know and anxiously wait for Most of his friends tell he has put all his heart out in this new cd and he has done it from a much more intense and vital perspective, displaying his blues on a complete devastating form With this work Walter Trout celebrates his almost fifty years in the music world, playing the music he discovered long time ago thanks to Mike Bloomfield that left a deep mark in his soul And finally do not forget this year 2014 Trout has also accomplished his 25 years of solo career
