Representing Portugal at the last European Blues Challenge in Hell (Norway), where he got a remarkable third place competing with twenty acts coming from their European countries, Vitor Bacalhau showed his technique as a power blues guitarist and singer Now he presents his last work recorded live at Mobydick studios, employing the minimum studio devices as overdubs, alternative takes or sound earphones to, in this way, faithfully reflect the band powerful sound The wildest most aggressive blues rock comes together with some genuine blues and even a couple of ballads along the nine cd songs, all them Vitor’s own compositions he has written alone or in collaboration with other musicians, that give shape to an album where Vitor surprises us by his guitar technique and his vocal feeling supported by Luis Trindade on bass and Fender Rhodes in one song and João Ventura on drums, with the special collaboration of Budda Guedes on guitars, keyboard, percussion and singing in one cut, and Helder Faisca on backing vocals As happened the previous year with the amazing blues musician Messias, this album gives us the opportunity to discover an artist with something to say, not only in Portuguese blues scene, but also in European blues rock circuits
