Here comes the exciting new work of singer, songwriter and guitarist Vincent Hayes The album was recorded during the spring of 2013 at Redwall North Studios, in Grand Haven, Michigan under the direct supervision of Bill Chrysler, a producer who has done an excellent job, as he previously did with such great artists like Lionel Richie, Paul McCartney or Red Hot Chili Peppers Ten songs, eight Hayes’ own compositions, plus a bright version of Marvin Gaye’s, Inner City Blues and a melancholic song entitled Not Tonight, is what Vincent has done in this new project called The Grind to give us joy and delight our ears Obviously Vincent Hayes has a gift for writing very inspired songs, not only in blues field but also in roots music, like rock blues and Americana styles After the amazing success with his previous work Reclamation among media and fans, now Vincent has come back to a trio format, where he seems to feel very comfortable, including David Alves on bass and Donnie Hugley on drums The true thing is Vincent does not need more musicians to build up a rewarding, powerful, varied album with high quality songs
