This EP presents a project that was conceived in 2009, first as a jazz quintet including Chisco Villanueva on sax, Rafael Santana on keyboards Javier Garcia Escudero on guitar, Toño Gutierrez on bass and Rodri Irizabal on drums After a year of flirting with jazz and fusion and playing along Cantabria area, they decided to reconsider their future both in the band format and in their music, so they moved towards a more funky and soul sound They also added singer Macarena De Soto, better known as Maki, and soon after they also included a horn section to give more strength and flavor to their sound and the new repertoire Now Vespa Groove is formed by eight members and their music ranges from sixties soul and seventies funk This is an energetic colourful band that will raIse up your spirits in those moments you may feel down and out
