Velma Powell is an Afroamerican singer gifted with an expressive voice, rich in vocal ranges and nuances, that easily delights and convinces any blues fan Velma carries on his back a story full of sensitivity and mastery in the blues music field, not in vain she is a grand nephew of legendary John Lee Hooker, so blues and soul runs in her veins Velma communicates the true, honest and sincere blues feeling, so Miss Powell is the essence of real blues Since she settled in Spain she has been involved in lots of projects, like her collaboration with The Vargas Blues Band or her involvement with The Orquesta Mondragon On the other hand, Bluedays are a very experienced band in the blues field, which makes them sound completely teamed and effective in equal parts, besides stand out as excellent instrumentalists For this new project they have counted with the valuable collaboration of a wide bunch of excellent musicians who have been totally involved in the album giving the best of themselves, together with a powerful dynamic horn section Well known guitar player Franciso Simón has been in charge of the whole production Here come a handful of precise, consistent, top quality blues songs with a really gratifying final result, so I can only say is it is a first class album
