A compilation of sixteen songs by a variety of funk and soul groups settled in Barcelona city and surrounding area which include the widest selection that can be found among these two styles of Afroamerican music. Acid funk, deep funk, jazz funk, philly soul, Memphis, soul, Motown, Stax… but mainly blue-eyed-soul. Like everything in life, among the participant groups you will find good ones, some less good and other unexperienced ones, but all have an attractive mark that could even be described as revolutionary, especially in some of the fusion concepts. Any kind of rhythms coming from Afroamerican roots music can be found in this album. Besides the already mentioned styles, the selected bands give us their particular way of approaching songs, that cover a wide range of rhythms, from boogaloo or Latin rhythms by Los Fulanos, to soul and rhythm and blues by Tirantlofunk. You will find references and songs for all tastes and sensibilities, called soul or funk, all including an amazing variety of the most complex funny aspects one can imagine.
