Texas guitar player Van Wilks publishes now his first studio album after ten years of silence According to his own words the album is his contribution to contemporary blues, because Van has always felt a deep respect for the majority of the most legendary bluesmen, although his music does not follow the characteristic twelve bars and his style goes further up, despite he is considered as a blues guitarist Over the years, Van Wilks has shared stage with many rock bands like ZZ Top, Aerosmith or Journey Together with Tommy Taylor, Charlie Fountain, Nico Leophonte and Scott Laninham as drummers, Reggie Willy, Dave Ray, Mark Epstein, Chris Maresh and Andy Salmon as bass players and Billy Mason and Stefano Intelisano on keyboards, Van Wilks clearly shows guitar is a natural extension of his soul, that belongs to his the blood and in DNA, and he cannot live without a guitar on his hands This is a rocky album with an efficient creative sound work along all compositions which are based on solid musical foundations
