Trudy Lynn needs no introduction for those who deeply know blues Singer gifted with a great expressivity, Trudy always gives the best of herself and, in this new project, she again shows how to sing the blues and give it from the deepest part of her heart and soul This new album has the suggestive title of I’ll Sing The Blues For You and the idea came to her when her daughter gave her a gift of business cards where, after her name, it was written that particular sentence When Trudy thanked her daughter for the gift, she said those words described what she had always done, sing the blues on a way that every listener could make it feel as his own So Trudy has done her best to communicate along the whole album all what she carries deep in her heart and soul The whole material has been perfectly and carefully selected Ten amazing songs ranging from some Trudy Lynn’s own compositions like Thru Chasin’ You, a mid-tempo blues with a funky rhythm, to the catching shuffle Alright Baby coming from Big Mama Thornton or Down On Bended Knee by Johnny Copeland This is a terrific, intense and very danceable recording, sung with an extreme power, and the collaboration of a bunch of really good musicians who put all their commitment, devotion and intense feeling to perform the most genuine, sensual and possessive blues
