Born in Houston, Texas, Trudy Lynn spent her childhood surrounded by music. His cousin Al “TNT” Braggs was a rhythm and blues singer and songwriter for Bobby “Blue” Bland and. She used to sing in her home porch for neighbors and, during her years at high school, she was member of the choir and several jazz groups. Albert Collins saw her potential and invited her to share stage with him in some gigs. All those things encouraged her to devote her life to music, starting a successful career that extends up to date.

Also recognized with countless awards, Trudy now publishes a new recording to celebrate her seventy-fifth birthday and does it in a big way, showing she is a real powerful and charismatic diva. Both blues and soul have no secrets for her, because she always performs and attacks songs with a brave attitude and an unbelievable power.

The eleven songs that give shape to the album are a good summary of classic rhythm and blues, soul and blues displayed with the magnificence and conviction that only a true diva can do. She is also supported by an excellent group of musicians plus the special collaboration of guitar player Anson Funderburgh in some songs.
