Argentina has always been the birthplace of great blues musicians and bands which, unfortunately, have not often cross borders and get the recognition they deserve Fortunately we are lucky to have in our city a good bunch of these good Argentinian bluesmen Two of them are harmonica player and singer Tota and piano player Cristian Poyo Moya Both deeply love blues and now they present an album where they show all their undeniable knowledge, on a blues tour that drives us to the most emblematic places and artists of genuine blues From New Orleans to Chicago, travelling around Mississippi, Memphis or St Louis and from Otis Spann to Ray Charles, Johnnie Johnson, Jimmy Reed or Big Boy Crudup among others, these two excellent musicians sound totally teamed and, at the same time, show their fine technique in a twelve songs album, some of them own compositions together with versions by some of the just mentioned musicians As did Sugar Ray Norcia and Anthony Geraci some time ago, recording an album only with piano and harmonica, this recording becomes a small treasure for all true blues lovers Besides Tota on harmonica, vocals and guitar in two cuts and Cristian Poyo Moya on piano and vocals in one song, there have also collaborated Eduardo Introcaso on sax, Martin J Merino on electric guitar and Chino Swingslide on Resophonic guitar, each in one song With Tota and Cristian, the real blues feeling is guaranteed Word of Zumel!
