Tony Holiday discovered the blues when he was thirteen, thanks to a present his mother gave him, a B.B. King’s album entitled “The Best Of”. It was five years later when Tony decided he wanted to professionally devote himself to play blues, as he did and follows on today. One of t6he things Tony likes most is to organize blues sessions at the front porch surrounded by many good musicians and friends to play on a relaxed, pleasing and friendly atmosphere, drinking a few cool beers. These meetings led to release a couple of albums so far, which collect the music and the friendly spirit of those porch sessions, that have been recorded with the minimum equipment and no technical devices to, in this way, preserve the spirit of those porch meetings. If in the first volume the musicians who came to the ‘porch’ were James Harman, John Primer, Kid Ramos, Charlie Musselwhite, John Nemeth, Mitch Kashmar and Bob Corritore, in this second one you will find Bobby Rush, Victor Wainwright, Willie Buck, AJ Fullerton, Watermelon Slim, his mentor James Harman, Jon Lawton, Lurrie Bell, Richard “Rip Lee” Pryor, Johnny Burgin, Rae Gordon, Ben Rice, Mark Hummel, Dennis Gruenling, JD Taylor and Southern Avenue. With this outstanding and superb roster of stars, the album can only be described as essential and defined as an impressive awesome blues party, in all senses.
