Tommy Keys is a piano and keyboards player, song-writer and singer who was born in New York in 1955 Since ha was a young boy he became interested on learning to play piano and express his feelings and emotions through the blues, the music that has always been in his blood and will be involved with for the rest of his life until his last day The material included on the cd is cool, calm and varied You will find on it from actual blues with a very contemporary sound to barrelhouse blues, New Orleans or boogie-woogie, but always done with a XXIst Century sound, cooked with excellent appearances of a long list of backing musicians Excellent arrangements, specially horn section ones that transmit rhythm and a powerful stamp to the final production, due to Mario Staiano and Tom Lippis (Tommy Key’s real name) Both musicians have conceived and made possible the excellent cool album sound
