The early death of Tommy DarDar let orphans all his followers, fans and friends of Gulf Coast blues scene Tommy was a lovely friendly man, but he was gifted with a natural talent as singer, songwriter and harmonica player Some of his friends and colleagues were aware he had been working in some recordings that never had seen the light, so they decided to work on them and release them as a posthumous tribute to this great musician and good friend, they have now been published to the delight and joy of good blues lovers Drummer Tony Braunagel took the project leadership and together with Hutch Hutchinson on bass, Jon Cleary on piano, Johnny Lee Schell on guitar, Mike Finnigan and Barry Seelen both on Hammond, Joe Sublett on sax, Jimmie Rose on percussion and backing voices of Teresa James, Tommie Lee Bradley, Larry Fullcher and Terry Wilson, gave shape and substance to this splendid album, with those nine songs Tommy had been working on, which now become a priceless high quality legacy of an amazing blues artist This is an album that should not be overlooked by any blues lover
