Excellent singer and guitar player Tommy Castro grew up in San Jose, California During his childhood he received a wide musical input of the effervescing 60’s and 70’s scene and was exposed to the flower power culture of the hippie movement, but also to Mexican influences or the soul music explosion This wide range of musical cultures has led him to become an eclectic musician, but never leaving aside the long and winding blues roads Now he comes back with his last work, an album full of blues with a West Coast sound, he develops in an unique way he really knows with a waste of vocal and guitar skills, where funky rocky blues and groove stand out on a straightforward powerful way Backed by his faithful Painkillers with Michael Emerson on keyboards, Randy McDonald on bass and Bowen Brown on drums and a few tough really able amazing guests like Charlie Musselwhite harmonica and vocals, Mike Zito guitar and vocals, Danielle Nicole vocals and Los Lobos band member David Hidalgo guitar and vocals, each one in a song, Tommy Castro has managed to round up a magnificent work that again hits the bull’s eye
