For this new recording Tommy Castro has selected thirteen songs with a common thread, which tell the story of a young man who leaves his small hometown, only with his guitar on his back, to go to the big city looking for fame, money and, of course, become a blues star, something that, from that moment on, will make his life be no longer the same one he has lived until then.

That is the odyssey many musicians have undertaken and Tommy Castro wants to reflect in the album songs. To do so he has counted with the valuable collaboration of legendary producer Tom Hambridge. Together they have co-written the thirteen cuts that give shape to this album, that include different kinds and styles of blues where Tommy feels comfortable with.

This is the seventh album Tommy Castro has published with Alligator label during the last twelve years. This time he wants give us a different approach with new facets and aspects to a refreshing and original music without losing an inch of Tommy’s own personality. Together with Tommy Castro on vocals and guitar you will find Kevin McKendree on keyboards, Rob McNeelley on guitar, Tommy MacDonald on bass, Tom Hambridge on drums and percussion, plus a number of first class guest musicians.
