Harmonica player Tomislav Goluban and guitarist Nebojsa Buhin, both from Croatia, have joined forces with other nineteen musicians to give us a different and original album, quite different of what could be expected by some blues musicians The first curiosity is it is a completely instrumental album with no vocals on it Another remarkable thing is the cd title For A Friend & Brother clearly says the album has been dedicated to the unfortunately disappeared Nebojsa brother, Drazen Buhin In fact he was the one who managed to join these two musicians, not only when he was alive but also after his death in 2012 That is why this album has become something very special for both performers, who give the best of themselves not only as instrumentalists but also as composers, where the result becomes a handful of songs with a surprising very interesting acoustic and sound diversity, where Goluban’s the compositions perfectly match with Buhin’s arrangements In short words, this is an interesting musical tissue both musicians have well put together along and around Tomislav’s harmonica sonority and emotional phrasing speech
