Drummer and singer Tom Hambridge is today one of the most recognized names in the blues field. He has written more than a thousand songs, produced more than hundred albums and has been awarded with four Grammys as a producer of Buddy Guy, Keb Mo’ or Christone “Kingfish” Ingram’s albums.

For this recording, Hambridge has chosen some of the songs he has written or co-written with Richard Fleming for different artists he has worked with as a producer. Some of them want now to return the favor by contributing in this album.

Of the thirteen cd songs Buddy Guy is in “Ain’t Just Like Love”, Joe Bonamassa appears in “That’s My Home”, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram performs in “Blues Don’t Care”, Rob McNelly appears on “Sick With Love” and “Meet In Chicago”, Josh Smith is in “Smarter Than I Was” and we can even enjoy listening to the late James Cotton in “Brother John Boogie”. The other tracks feature Tom Hambridge surrounded by fully professional musicians, highlighting a heartfelt tribute to Johnny Winter in a song simply titled “Johnny Winter”.

Like in all recordings where drummer, composer, producer and singer Tom Hambridge participates, this album will be a very welcome precise reference in most aspects and facets that will delight blues lovers, due to the quality and high voltage all songs communicate.
