Tom Craig is a guitar player and composed but mainly he is a powerful singer with an incredible feeling Tom discovered his musical vocation after listening to artists like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme However he soon decided his gurus and masters would be Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the three kings, BB King, Freddie King and Albert King, as well as 60’s and 70’s soul During the last decade Tom Craig has formed a good tandem with drummer John O’Connell Both share the passion for Memphis soul, the particular sound of Muscle Shoals factory, rhythm and blues and blues, so in their live shows they always include versions coming from Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Joe Louis Walker or the three already mentioned kings With all these ingredients you can easily imagine this is an album full of good and torrid songs tht drive us to a wide tour around the different faces and shapes of the black music they passionately love, which will immediately connect with every listener To do so, they have counted with the valuable participation of an excellent group of musicians like Rando Randy Branning and Dave Gross on bass, Eric Johnson, on Hammond and keyboards, Mickey Junior on harmonica plus a horn section with Vince Glaeason tenor, Mark Gallagher and Skyler Hagner baritones, Dan Young alto and Sean McCusker trombone In short words this is a more than a recommendable recording
