French label Kebra Records has specialized in promoting the work of little-known artists, generally performing underground and garage music, who nevertheless gather a recognized quality.

This is the case of Tío Manuel, whose real name is Manuel Castillo, a musician with Spanish roots who, in this album, sings and plays guitar, mandolin, harmonica and Resophonic, and is backed by Gilles Fégeant on dobro in two songs, Rudy Serairi on bass and percussion and Christophe Gaillot on drums, besides counting with a series of collaborations on such diverse instruments like piano, accordion or sax.

With all these elements Tío Manuel presents its eighth recording with ten songs that show the various facets of this indie artist which move from urban blues to rock, folk and even soul or Latin music, although all these styles have always been passed through the filter of the most countercultural music, which gives them a different air from what we are used to listen to, with rhythms that move along a dark and wrapping atmosphere.

It is remarkable Kebra Records efforts to make known these original artists who are especially focused on an elitist audience which looks for new aspects and different new feelings in today’s music.
