Like many other musicians Tinsley Ellis was forced to cancel his 2020 tour, with more than sixty shows already signed, where he also presented his latest release “Ice Cream In Hell”. During that time he locked himself in his home studio and devoted himself to study, experiment, practice and improve his skills as a composer, also exploring dark and old sounds and recordings by some of his heroes like The Allman Brothers, Freddie King, Michael Bloomfield or B.B. King. Eighteen months later Ellis had written the amazing amount of two hundred new songs.

In April 2020 he started to release this material online, asking his fans and followers to give him feedback and share their opinion about the songs. After receiving and evaluating all his many fans comments, Tinsley Ellis selected ten songs to be included in this new album for Alligator Records, he especially wanted to devote to all his followers for their unconditional support.

All the album songs show Tinsley’s skills as a bright, powerful and energetic guitar player and singer, he cleverly develops along a repertoire of the most actual blues as well as classic seventies Southern rock. Together with Tinsley Ellis on vocals and guitar there are Kevin McKendree on organ and piano, Steve Mackey on bass and Lynn Williams on drums, plus the collaboration of Jim Hoke on sax and Andrew Carney on trumpet in two songs.

This is a more than interesting and remarkable album listeners must take into account when they select their actual preferences, as far as the most passionate blues rock is concerned.
