European blues scene presents a variety of good artists who faithfully and tastefully perform those vintage sounds of Delta blues, Piedmont blues or swamp blues in solo or duo format This is the case of Tim Lothar, a musician born in Denmark who, after working for years as a drummer, one day decided to devote himself to play acoustic guitar and cultivate his vocal qualities From that moment, his musical skills began to be recognized, winning several awards in his own country and participating in various European blues festivals This last work includes fifteen own compositions plus a version of the traditional song Goodnight Irene All tracks were recorded live in one take, only with two microphones and Lothar’s voice and guitar All the songs show Tim’s personal experiences in an intimate way, to give evidence about the maturity and self assurance how this musician approaches a repertoire that makes clear his aim is to show his personal style through a clever and, in many cases, extremely poetical compositions
