Vocal duos are really usual among folk and country musicians, styles where this format has become very popular Singer Tiffany Pollack is well known in New Orleans jazz circles and now she joins forces with singer and guitar player Eric Johanson, lead guitarist in Cyril Neville’s band, to export this formula to a repertoire they have decided to move towards blues and roots music The other musicians are Phil Wang and Jack Miele on bass, John Gros on piano and organ and Brentt Arcement on drums, as well as guests Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone on harmonica and a horn section known as 504 Horns Both musicians have separately developed an extensive career and, surprisingly, they met when Pollack reunited with her biological family at 25, where she met Eric and discovered they were cousins and belonged to the third generation of a musical family The musical combination and the way the have developed and worked all songs, give us a particular and interesting new vision, as it brings a breath of fresh, dynamic and very special air that is determinant for the whole album conception Eleven original songs that confirm we are facing a group of musicians whose greatest virtues are the knowledge of the music they play and the chemistry that appears among them
