We are lucky because, four years ago, singer and harmonica player Greg Izor decided to settle in Spain, which are really good news for all Spanish blues fans.

Born in Vermont, he soon moved to New Orleans, where he learned to play harmonica with “Jumpin'” Johnny Sansone. There, he started to make a name, playing with most of the city blues legends. Years later he moved to Austin where he began to shine at a very high level. Now he lives in Madrid where he collaborates with many local musicians, touring nationally and internationally.

He recorded this album with Dutch band Ticket West in Utrecht at these musicians’ request. It includes seven Greg’s own compositions, where he reviews his favorite blues styles like Louisiana, Texas and Chicago blues with touches of rhythm & blues and country, developed with a lot of groove and a very personal touch that makes him be a musician gifted with an amazing performing and vocal expressiveness.

Greg Izor is on harmonica, vocals and, in five songs he is also on rhythm guitar, while the Ticket West are Pascal Wilhelm on guitar, Walter Wilhelm on bass and Peter ten Wolde on drums.

An album with a good dose of genuine blues, fresh, attractive and varied, all carefully sieved through Greg Izor’s special personality.
