Tia Couttebel is a blues French singer and guitar player gifted with a huge originality and a remarkable personality She is a free minded woman so what she likes most is to reinvent the blues, carrying these old music to her own field, and she does it with a natural elegance and skill, getting inspiration in the various ways that drive her to hidden corners like the native Africa or to the primitive afro-cuban rhythms Her last journey to the north of the Mississippi together with Cedrick Burnside, Cameron Kimbrough and Sharde Thomas made her discover the richness of the blues in that particular area and has given as a result this cool, juicy and completely innovative album, where you will feel the different shades, harmonies and colours that can be found in the ten album songs A beautiful trip to the phantasmagorical landscapes of Mississippi deep south or the darkness of bayous, but also to Louisiana incredible joyful atmosphere, in a well chosen repertoire full of magic and seduction, thanks to the good work of Couttebel Aunt on vocals and guitar, Manu Borghi on keyboards, Laurent Cokelaere on bass, Francis Arnaud on drums, Marc Clomeau on percussion, clavinet and backing vocals and Ibou Sow on flute
