Born in Richmond, California, Tia Carroll has sung professionally for more than thirty years, both solo or together with Jimmy McCraklin or Sugar Pie DeSanto, as well as other rhythm and blues big names. Thanks to the magnificent work of executive producer Noel Hayes plus Kid Andersen and Jim Pugh at Greaseland studios, we are really lucky to have this album on our hands, where Tia Carroll gives the best of herself along eleven pearls, three of them her own compositions with not a single bad note on them. In all songs she shows she is a versatile singer gifted with an impressive passionate voice full of charisma, perfect to sing blues, gospel or rock, although, the true thing is she can sing any music genre that is put in face of her and do it with an undeniable quality. And if we add she has counted with an outstanding cast of musicians such as Kid Andersen on guitar or Jim Pugh on organ, plus some deluxe guests like Igor Prado or a teamed horn section able to create a warm intense climax, the result cannot be other than an exciting superb album in all its form and content.
