From the first notes of the song You Hurt Me that starts this album until the eleventh and last song I’d rather go blind which closes this cd entitled Brazil Sessions, Tia Carrol has got and feels the blues Carroll is a versatile singer with a superb vocal register who brings all her fragrance, daring energy and an extreme feeling in this new album She is backed by four of the best Brazilian blues musicians, who form The Igor Prado Blues Band and are Igor Prado, Rodrigo Montovani, Yuri Prado and Denilson Martins- She also has some deluxe guest artists such as the amazing Sax Gordon on tenor sax All have cooked a powerful, vigorous, intense album that takes you away from the very first notes Genuine and delicious blues, which combine elements from old time blues with an excellent sound and the elegance of a restrained contemporary arrangements where organ has a special prominence In short words, this is an album i highly recommend you
