It is always a pleasure to discover new European blues bands where musicians are extremely young but they have already got a big musical maturity and talent This is the case of Three Hours Past Midnight, a band formed in December 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland, whose older musician is guitar player Laurent Gillieron who, when he was only a child, was totally amazed and fascinated by blues musicians he could see at 1982 Montreux Festival The rest of the band includes really young musicians as Juliana Tarris on vocals, Antoine Gillieron on bass and Baptiste Paracchini on drums The album also includes The Atomic Horns with Alberto Oliva on trombone and Larry Lee on sax, besides some deluxe guests like Anson Funderburgh on guitar, Gentleman John Street on piano and organ, Sugar Ray Norcia on harmonica, Anthony Geraci on piano and Monster Mike Welch on guitar, each one on a song The band sounds fresh, exciting and with a huge vitality All the musicians show they want to have a good time together and communicate their joy in the fourteen album songs, where you will find a little bit of everything, from blues to rock ‘n’ roll and even some swamp pop This is a band to be taken into account in the next future
