New England on USA east coast has a long tradition of excellent blues bands as well as a very active blues scene. People like Jerry Portnoy, Sugar Ray & The Bluetones, Bob Margolin or Duke Robillard come from this area. They are now joined by The Wicked Lo-Down, a band which has released its first album for Gulf Coast Records, after the success of their debut one “We Hot”.

The group was formed in 2020, thanks to legendary guitar player Paul Size (The Red Devils, Mike Jagger, Sugar Ray & The Bluetones) and harmonica player and singer Nick David. Joining them you will find Jeffrey Berg on guitar and vocals, Brad Hallen on bass and Nick Toscano on drums. Their sound is based on Texas blues, East Coast rhythm & blues or the most genuine roots blues, adding some touches of roadhouse blues. The album also features Mike Zito on guitar in the song “Out Of Line” and Monster Mike Welch in “Toxic”

You will enjoy eleven own compositions plus two versions “Just Can’t Make It” coming from Hound Dog Taylor and “Toxic” by Britney Spears, a song the group gives a completely new, different and personal air.

This recording becomes a treasure for all fans who once followed groups like The Red Devils or The Fabulous Thunderbirds and, of course, for all lovers of blues developed with strength, energy, intensity and a lot of charisma.
