Although at first sight it may seem blues is an outdated old-fashioned music, every day new blues bands hit the market with a breath of fresh air, energizing with their contribution the blues scene.

This is the case of Waterstreet Blues Band, which presents a new album with nine songs plus a bonus track, where they give a broad vision of the most attractive and genuine music, energizing with their contribution the so-called contemporary blues, providing a good dose of interesting musical resources. The group performs with a special cleverness styles like rockin’ blues, greasy roots blues, jumping swing, some Americana ballads and even surprise us with an occasional approach to Latin blues. All tracks have been composed by Deyman and Sapounzi with the exception of “Miles To Go” coming from Samantha Fish and “Temptation” by Tom Waits.

The group line-up includes Silvia Dee on accordion, keyboards and vocals, Rob Deyman on guitars, Paul Sapounzi on bass and vocals, Jonny Sauder on drums and vocals and Chris “Junior” Malleck on harmonica. They have already shared stage with such great artists like Marcia Ball, Maria Muldaur or Lil’ Ed And The Blues Imperials among many others. The recording will be a good discovery for many music and blues lovers.
