Cool great UK coming band, presenting seventeen tracks performed on a very cool way, half way between genuine electric down home blues and blue note jazz The Barcodes are Bob Hadrell, former member of Jimmy Dawkins’ band, on vocals, piano, organ, Wurlitzer and bass pedal, Alan Glen, who for some time was a Yardbirds and Nine Below Zero musician, on guitars, harmonica and vocals and finally Dino Coccia (ex Larry Garner, Paul Lamb and James Carr) on drums Barcodes have been playing together for more than twelve years This is their fifth recording, all them for Note Music The previous albums have received some excellent reviews by the specialized media and I dare say this new work will exceed the previous ones, as the band has made a careful selection of his best songs, ten originals and seven covers You will also find as guest musician some of the hottest names in British rhythm and blues, like Papa George, Val Cowell, Alan Barnes, Paul Cox or Zoot Money among others
