This is one of those bands you cannot miss if they come to play to your city, because Strata-Tones are nothing but fun and joy On stage the musicians are intense, rocky and show such a knowledge many other similar bands would like to have For this album they have chosen a pleasant delicious repertoire, full of swing, with a good dose of groove, where most of the songs have been written and composed by the clever inspiration of guitar player Bruce Krupnik and harmonica player Kevin McCracken Singer Valerie Johnson deserves my great consideration and respect because she does a faultless work along the whole cd with a bright well tempered vocal tone and a natural talent for singing the blues The rest of the band includes Ken Burton on keyboards, Wil Anderson on bass, Rick Pittman in drums and Terry Lawless leading the horns, all them sound inspired and in good form This is an interesting very well designed cd that gathers all the magic and good work of a band which mixes with good disposition, taste and self confidence blues, funk and swing
