Here comes a band with a special original sound that drives us close to an eclectic blues, with jazz and rock influences, and sophisticated ballads People say their songs reflect they have drunk into the sources of bands like Pink Floyd, although I personally think it is not so evident and it would be more precise to say their music has different psychedelic traces Snake Charmers’ proposal seems to be interesting at the fist glance, with a good guitar work coming from Larry Meeker and the sensual voice of singer and keyboard player Marie Angell, who softly gives us her musical proposal along ten own songs The rhythm section is not far behind and includes Will Blumentritt on bass and his son Eric on drums Both give an imaginative reply to guitar and keyboards work, with accurate arrangements and a calm relaxed background in almost every song The Snake Charmers have been working together since 2002 and recently they have been nominated as ‘Best Blues Band’ by specialised Houston press
