Fifty minutes of intense traditional rhythm and blues, swampy boogie, soul, some funk and blues is the new proposal of The Smoke Wagon Blues Band, a well qualified experienced group with more than twenty years of career behind their backs The band was formed in Ontario, Canada where they immediately reached a great popularity as some of the most happy entertainers in the clubs and bars where they usually played, thanks to the strength and personal sound of singer and harmonica player Corey Lueck, a man gifted with a special charisma, together with Mike Stubbs’ guitar technique, the swing of piano and organ player Nick Succi, the excellent and bright arrangements by sax player Gordon Aeichele and a greasy teamed rhythm section with Jason Colavecchia on bass and vocals, Tibor Lukacs on drums and vocals and Steve Sherman on percussion, organ and bass in some songs, a rhythm section which restrains but at the same time gives dynamism to the rest of the band musicians Lyrics that tell stories that drive us to Yukon, New Orleans, voodoo, old and historical trains and railroads, lost loves that will never come back or full moon nights in the country, that remind us those times when storytellers, beatnik poets and their music were in the front line of the history
