After leading The Hurricanes for a good number of years, singer and guitar player Ron Kraemer decided to assemble a trio to play at clubs, bars and cafes around Sarasota area, Florida. While in many USA states live shows were totally banned during the pandemic, Florida kept outdoor concerts as well as indoor shows with small bands, so the trio was fortunate and performed regularly during that period. The trio includes Ron Kraemer on guitar and vocals, Gregg Germony on double bass and Michael Finley on drums.

After the experience gathered during these last three years, Ron has decided to publish a totally instrumental album with eleven songs ranging from swing to blues, be-bop and Latin jazz, that recreate the sound of those fifties and sixties artists like Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Smith or John Coltrane.

The album brings a lot of groove, plus a good tasteful performing with catching sax solos by Reggie Murray who also communicates a good dose of groove on Hammond B-3, while Kraemer shows a fine guitar technique quality, not in vain he is an advanced Charlie Christian’s follower, while Germody and Finley add the beat to all songs.

This is a cool creative album with bright flashes ranging from the most elegant jazz to Bo Diddley’s rhythms like in the song “Bo Knows”.
