The Románticos is a group coming from the north of Spain, which remains faithful to the genuine blues tradition Led by singer, songwriter and guitar player Iker Piris, all band musicians feel, live and are totally immersed in old real blues style This album offers a very interesting mixture of Afroamerican black music basic styles such as shuffles, New Orleans rhythm & blues sounds, rural blues or West Coast jump blues The good work of Iker Piris on vocals and guitar is completed with the warm, thick and wrapping sound of Ricky Avila on bass and Adrian Carrera on drums To round up the album the trio has counted with the collaboration of Julian Kanevsky on slide guitar, Juan Ortiz on keyboards and a horn section known as The Broken Brothers in some cuts This is an album that will give us the opportunity to go deep into The Románticos music and soul, where maturity and good taste come together and also makes us realize the good progression of the band leader, that confirms we are facing a more than interesting band of Spanish blues scene
