And here comes one of my last discoveries, I have found interesting for the different contributions and new point of view singer and guitar player Rick Welter gives to roots music Rick and the rest of musicians who take part on these recordings have done a good work on to produce a satisfactory album This rhythm and blues master perfectly knows the kind of music he plays Now he has recorded thirteen great tracks, four own ones and the rest come from the basic repertoire of fifties and sixties r&b artists like Lou Pride, Jimmy Liggins, Earl King, Jimmy McCrackin, Arthur Conley, Earl Hooker, Willie West and Willie Egan For those of you who are not familiar with Rick Welter, only mention he first was living in New York, then he travelled to Chicago, ILL, San Francisco, CA and finally to Portland, Oregon, where he has settled Welter has shared stage with such great names like harmonica players Charlie Musselwhite, Big Walter Horton or Paul Delay, piano players like Mitch Woods or guitar player Junior Watson among other blues luminaries
