Los Reverendos are a nice pleasant four musicians band, coming from the north of Spain Now they have now released their debut album, after several years active playing in clubs and venues The cd includes nine songs, seven ‘covers’ and the other two are original ones Among the versions you will find Muddy Waters, Arthur ‘Big Boy’ Crudup, Elmore James, Leroy Carr, and even a Beatles tune Can’t Buy My Love The group displays a restrained, well done smooth sound, perfectly using the music resources they well know, with honesty, commitment and over all the great enthusiasm they have put into the project, a worthy unpretentious project I am sure will appeal and delight all listeners Let me encourage them to follow on this blues way with the faith and enthusiasm they have done so far Our country needs bands like The Reverendos to spread their ‘sermon’ that should not fall on deaf ears, which becomes necessary to attract new blues worshippers Amen!
